Loan Officer

We’re hiring a Loan Officer to join our team and play a critical role in evaluating, structuring, and managing loan applications for small businesses and entrepreneurs in underserved communities in the greater Philadelphia region. This hybrid role balances remote work with in-person client engagement.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in lending, credit analysis, or financial services
  • Knowledge of CDFI operations and programs
  • Experience with CRM and loan management software
  • Strong financial analysis and business plan review skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to travel within the service area for site visits
  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working with diverse communities

Responsibilities:

  • Loan Origination and Underwriting
    • Identify clients and assess creditworthiness.
    • Review financial documents and prepare loan packages for approval.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain client relationships.
    • Provide guidance on loan applications and conduct site visits.
  • Portfolio Management
    • Monitor active loans for timely payments and compliance.
    • Address delinquency through proactive communication.
  • Community Engagement and Outreach
    • Represent VestedIn at events and promote loan products.
  • Reporting and Compliance
    • Keep accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Chief Credit Officer

We’re hiring a Chief Credit Officer to oversee all lending operations and lead our lending team. This hybrid role allows for remote work and occasional travel. You’ll help ensure we meet our lending goals and support the economic growth of our communities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field such as financial management, small business management, business administration or economics
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial or small business lending
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • 2‐4 years of experience in data analysis and reporting
  • 2-4 years of experience with CDFIs or other organizations using governmental reporting systems such as AMIS
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and communities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the lending team and ensure high performance
  • Oversee loan origination, servicing, and portfolio management
  • Ensure compliance with lending policies and reporting requirements
  • Develop and implement lending strategies to meet organizational goals
  • Work with the Executive Director on risk management and reporting
